Pharaoh's harden heart bring upon the Egyptians even more plagues. This leads to the final most devastating plague, and provides the setting for the institution of the 'Lord's Passover'.
At the risk of being super tacky, here is the Disneyland account of it...:)
I was actually quite amused to read in Chapter 12:
43 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "These are the regulations for the Passover: "No foreigner is to eat of it. 44 Any slave you have bought may eat of it after you have circumcised him, 45 but a temporary resident and a hired worker may not eat of it. 46 "It must be eaten inside one house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones. 47 The whole community of Israel must celebrate it. 48 "An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORD's Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land. No uncircumcised male may eat of it.
We shared a passover meal with Avraham once, and never had my household circumcised (which is really only me!!....ouch!). Which means Avraham broke the law!

After reading the passover (exodus 12), I felt so blessed to live under the new convenant, which is far better than the old one becos the applied blood of Jesus is permanent (see hebrews9:12-26). In exodus 12 , GOD instructed the Israelites to use the blood of a lamb as a token or a sign that they were not to be harmed under the old covenant. Notice that the Lord said to them,"When I see the blood, I will pass over you" (exo 12:13). In order for the people to be protected from the angel of death, God had to see blood, and He could not see it if they did not put it on the side posts and tops of their doorframes. As for us, we do it by believing in Jesus Christ as we simply say in faith. Amen!!! :)))
