2 Samuel 1-4

Saul is dead. Long live the King!

David fills the power vauum and is secures the Kingdom of Judah as their King. But a civil war develops between David and Saul's old powerbase. Eventually David wins out as Saul's follower's begin to fall apart without Saul. Through all this David is able to demonstrate his noble values of not only being able to mourn for Saul but also to honour his memory.
