Isaiah takes on the voice of a servant and deliverer, as he articulates YHWH's powerful promise of restoration to His chosen people. At first it sounds like Isaiah is refering to himself, but it becomes more and more apparent that he is painting a messianic image of the messiah and suffering servant who will redeem us all, Jews and gentiles.
Chapter 53 is the well known passage that says it all.
