Joshua 9-11
In 3 Chapters, Joshua destroys everything and everyone......except for the Gibeonites, who had tricked him into signing a treaty with them. Later King Saul apparently violated the treaty and Israel was punished for that.
Joshua 11:20 says "For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel...". So the only exception is the Gibeonites... wonder what did they do right to earn this blessing?

Haha....I think it was very simply they were craftier than the Israelites. :)
