Leviticus 26-27

YHWH makes explicit His covenant with Israel, and phophesys the Israelites, disobedience, exile and redemption.

And what a relief that we have come to the end of Leviticus!! But I must say it was interesting reading and there are a number of intriguing thoughts. I did wish that it could have been better organized so that the ideas flowed better with less repetitions.

What does 27:29 mean : No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; he must be put to death.

BTW, there is no Leviticus 28. Which version of the bible are u using? ;)

The Jubilee is a year when all wrongs are made right, prisoners freed etc...In this situation, prisoners may be 'redeemed' and freed. Except in the case of someone 'devoted to destruction' (i guess suicide bombers, serial killers etc...).
